KUALA TERENGGANU: The "muhibah" spirit has cooked up the perfect recipe for chef Billy Chua.

He grew up in a village and had many Malay friends. Years ago, he came up with a dish of his own called Nasi Lemak Goreng. It is a combination of two popular dishes which is Chinese fried rice and nasi lemak. He said that he really love nasi lemak. He always eat nasi lemak when he was a child. One day, in his teen years, he got hungry and the only food at home was some nasi lemak. He got an idea to fry that food and he satisfied with that fried food. He added some ingredients to get its favour. For years, he cooked the dish at home, but early this year he added it to the menu at his eatery, Billi Kopitiam, and it has become a hit, selling an average of 100 plates a day. His customers always says that his nasi lemak is unique and also want to know how to cook it.

Student loses hand in parang attack

KOTA BARU: A 17-year-old student, due to sit his Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination next month, had his right hand severed in a parang attack on Sunday evening.

The victim,Ahmad Mustakim Ariff Jusoh, a Form Five student of SMK Puteri, was on the way to his Wakaf Mek Zainab home on a motorcycle, after buying a burger from a nearby stall, when he was attacked by two youths on a motorcycle about midnight. Luckily, his severed hand fell into the front basket of the motorcycle and doctors at Universiti Sains Malaysia Hospital in Kubang Kerian were able to re-attach it. His mother said that ahmad mustakim claimed that one of the attackers was a Thai citizen, his closed friend. This incident occured because of the loss of a motorcycle belonging to the Thai youth. The thai youth accused this student of a theft. This unlicky student is not an A-student but he is keep on learning. He wanted to help his family.

PASIR PUTIH: A 30-year-old woman travelling by car with her husband was shot dead yesterday morning after they did not heed a warning by three men in another car to stop.

Ayuni Hasyim and her husband were travelling to their jewellary shop in Jerteh, Terengganu from their home at Bachok. She was shot in her right shoulder and died on the arrival at the Bachok clinic. This tragedy happened around 8am at Cabang Tiga Kuala Semerak.

What is gamma knife?

A gamma knife is a device used to treat brain tumors with a high dose of radiation therapy in one day. The device was invented by Lars Leksell a Swedish neurosurgeon in 1967 at the karolinska institute in Sweden. The gamma knife device contains 201 cobalt-60 sources of approximately 30 curies each, placed in a circular array in a heavily shielded assembly. The device aims gamma radiation through a target point in the patient’s brain. The patient wears a specialized helmet that is surgically fixed to their skull so that the brain tumor remains stationary at the target point of the gamma rays.

The car is pulled to the top of the first hill at the beginning of the ride, but after that the coaster must complete the ride on its own. Biopower is the use of biomass to generate electricity, or heat and steam required for the operation of a refinery. Biopower system technologies include direct-firing, cofiring, gasification, pyrolysis, and anaerobic digestion. Most power plants use direct-fired systems. They burn biomass feedstock directly to produce steam. This steam drives a turbine, which turns a generator that converts the power into electricity. In some biomass industries, the spent steam from the power plant is also used for manufacturing processes or to heat buildings. Such combined heat and power systems greatly increase overall energy efficiency. Paper mills, the largest current producers of biomass power, generate electricity or process heat as part of the process for recovering pulping chemicals.

Vinton Gray Cerf (born June 23, 1943 in New Haven, Connecticut). As a graduate student at UCLA, he was involved in the early design of the ARPANET. He was present when the first IMP was delivered to UCLA. He is called the father of the internet. He earned this nickname as one of the co-authors of TCP/IP-the protocol that allowed ARPA to connect various independent networks together to form one large network of networks-the internet. He headed a group in 1973 with Bob Kahn that invented the TCP/IP protocol. He joined the board of the internet corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers or ICANN in 1999 and is currently serving a term until 2007. In 2001, he was awarded the Strowger Award from Ohio University’s J.W. McClure School of communication systems management. In October 2002,he was awarded (together with Bob Kahn, Larry Roberts and Tim Berners-Lee) Premio Principle de Asturias de Investigacion Cientifica, the most distinguished Spanish award. KOTA BHARU : Barely 24 hours after state police Datuk Abdul Rahim Hanafi warned of stern action against anymore of his officers or personnel being involved in drug abuse,another policeman was arrested for the same offence yesterday.

The officer-in-charge for the test detected there was some drugs in the 26-year-old lance corporal.
He was then detained and remanded for 4 days. The latest arrested brings the number of policemen who has positive drug test increase into 5. Another 4 policemen was arrested last week after their urine tested positive for illegal drugs.

WHY DO PIPES BREAK WHEN WATER FREEZES??

The pipes break because water expands when
it freezes. Its mean that water can
break steel. That's exactly right.

The molecular structure of water causes it
to expand rather than contract(getting smaller),
when exposed to cold temperatures.

So,the pipe is full of water when it's liquid,
then the water freezes and becomes ice,which
takes up more space.

Something has to give,so the pipe breaks.

In shah alam,a 43 year-old man told her mother he would
bury her alive when her mother advised him to stop his
habitual drinking. He told his mother 'i will use a hoe
to dig a hole,bury you and then set up a tent outside the
house and let people know that you are died'.
The unlucky mother stayed in a relative's house until
taken to the police station to lodge a report about his

two men were arrested because of the missing 5 kg of syabu from the johor criminal investigation department (CID) evidence room on july 31. The 2 suspects aged 23 and 40 were flagged down at the roadblock at north-bound. They tried to bribe the policemen who is manning the roadblock RM450 to avoid the speeding ticket but they failed and were arrested.
White powder in 2 small plastic container,2 bottle of brown liquid believed syabu and 67 erimin 5 pills were found in suspect's car. The suspects believed have their own previous criminal records.

Unlike natural gas and coal, we can’t store up wind and sunshine to use whenever we need to make more electricity. If the wind doesn’t blow or the sun hides behind clouds, there wouldn’t be enough power for everyone. Another reason we used fossil fuels like coal and natural gas is because they are cheaper. Its costs more money to make electricity from wind and most people don’t want to pay more on their monthly utility bills.

baby's death : family blames doctor..

This incident occured in ipoh. The baby was born early tuesday morning and discharged on wednesday morning. After returned home one hour,the 2-day-old baby girl screaming and gasping for breath. The family took her to hospital and arrived about 10.30p.m. The paediatrician attended to the baby at 11p.m. and said that the baby's condition was serious. The baby's family wanted to take the baby to general hospital but noticed that the intensive care unit was full. At 6.30p.m. on thursday,the machines were not longer recording the baby's vital signs. The doctor denied the baby was died until her family threatened to take the baby to raja permaisuri bainun hospital. The unlucky baby was declared dead at 7.40p.m. on thursday by the paediatrician who recorded septicaemia as the cause of death.

One reason is that materials science covers a huge range of activity and touches on many different fields - including chemistry, biology and physics. Sometimes materials scientists are called ceramic or polymer engineers or metallurgists and we can find them working in the industries, labs and universities all over the world. But diverse as they are, materials scientists look at materials from a unified point of view: they look for connections between the underlying structure of material, its properties, how processing changes it, and what the material can do – its performance. In the past, people used and changed materials by trial and error. And they worked on a big, visible scale – for example, heating then rapidly cooling chunks of iron to make it harder. Modern materials scientists manipulate and change materials based on fundamental understandings on how the materials are put together, often on the invisibly – tiny scales of atoms.
